Heavy Chevy was born in 70s, grew up in the 80s, cryogenically frozen during the 90s & 2000s, then reanimated in the 2010s. Long story short, after getting arrested for public indecency in a Burger King bathroom, Heavy Chevy entered a roller skating competition and won. Heavy Chevy used the funds to record some brand new funk coming out of Atlanta, GA. Just for you.
Citing musical influences from Southern rock legends The Allman Brothers and Lynyrd Skynyrd, underground rap legends UGK, Three Six Mafia and Master P, The Wheeler Boys capture an innovative sound on their debut EP My Brother's Keeper. The Atlanta duo comprised of brothers Sean and Garrett, fuse musical genres to create a unique hybrid of Southern hip-hop, bluegrass, and country.
Both Sean and Garrett were passionate about music at a young age, Sean played drums in school and Garrett was groomed in the choir and wrote poetry. In 2005 they recorded an independent album Support Your Local Insurgency. The buzz around Support Your Local Insurgency led to a collaboration with Dungeon Family rapper Witch Doctor on track “The Barrel.” It ultimately gained them national exposure, when Witchdoctor released the song on his 2007 album The Diary of an American Witchdoctor, under Adult Swim’s William’s Street Records.
The Wheeler Boys signed with country legend Zac Brown in 2011 becoming the label's first hip-hop artist. Since 2011, the group has toured with Brown through his Southern Ground Music and Food Festival, this opportunity gained The Wheeler Boys a cult following throughout the US. In 2014, The Wheeler Boys are gearing up for a new project release with touring dates throughout the college market.
